Manzar Hussain, a resident of Jhanagar village of Indian Occupied Kashmir who inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in Asal Kass Nullah in Khui Ratta sector on November 14, was handed over to Indian authorities on Tuesday evening at Chakoti-Uri crossing point by the Pakistani military officials, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
Pakistan, it may be recalled, on August 9 also returned to Indian authorities an Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) soldier Satyasheel Yadav, who had inadvertently crossed into Pakistani territory near Bajwat-Sialkot sector.
According to sources, return of Manzar Hussain, 13, by Pakistan is in line with its policy to maintain the tenets of ceasefire understanding of 2003 and in spirit of mutually agreed decision during the Directors General Military Operation (DGMOs) level meeting held at Wagha border on December 24, 2013 regarding early return of inadvertent line crossers.
On the other hand, Indian authorities have neither kept the sanctity of the LoC nor acted upon the mutually agreed decision of DGMOs meeting in December 2013.
It may be recalled that on June 14 this year, India apprehended a 60-year-old civilian Chun Hussain in Jandrot sector while he was cutting grass near the LoC. Till date, he has not been returned.
On August 6 this year, 37-year-old Kala Khan, who was cutting grass near the LoC in Mendhar sector, was picked up by Indian troops. The Indian forces killed him and his body was returned to Pakistan on August 9.
It is worth mentioning that on October 28, India killed 70-year-old Muhammad Din Charikot sector when he was grazing his goats near the LoC.
Next day on October 29, the Indian BSF picked up 30-year-old Pakistani Tauqeer near Shakargarh on the Working Boundary and later killed him and returned his body. Recently, seven Indian Army soldiers including two officers in India have been convicted on charges of killing three innocent civilians in a fake encounter in 2010 in the Machil sector in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
It is worth mentioning that three young boys, Shahzad Ahmed Khan, Riyaz Ahmed Lone and Muhammad Shafi Lone were lured to border area by the Indian Army on the pretext of giving them jobs but later killed them claiming that they were terrorists.
At the time Machil incident in 2010, Indian military authorities even made same claim to Pakistan military authorities that the young boys were terrorists, who had infiltrated the Indian border.
