The Czarina of TV is producing the seventh season of Nach Baliye and the 'too much' factor has been all over in the promos and the promotions. With the first episode of Nach Baliye out, the author and judge Chetan Bhagat has received a lot of flak for his unconventional stand on the jodis. However, the producer has a different line of thought. According to Ekta Kapoor, Chetan is the 'X-Factor' of the show.
Preity Zinta and Marzi Pestonji also are on the judges panel alongside Chetan Bhagat for this season which is being produced by Ekta Kapoor who has her name credited with shows like Bade Acche Lagte Hai, Kumkum Bhagya, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahut Thi among others.
"This year, the season will not only focus on the dance of the couples but will also bring to the light, the unexplored chapters of their relationship. This season will be all about 'too much'," she said in a statement. "Chetan is the X-factor of this season as he will look beyond dance and act as a motivator and storyteller who will find the real perfect jodi of Nach Baliye," she added.
Ekta says the reason she took up this show was that it gave her the opportunity to explore the stories of 11 jodis which were so different from each other. With a lot of twist and turns planned for the upcoming season all the jodis will be seen in a never seen avatar which will make the viewers watch the show from a completely new perspective. "The audience today don't want the glitz and glamour only. They want to see the reality behind all the vanity and the three judges will bring their masks off," Ekta revealed to an online portal..
There have been many changes which have been brought about in this season's format of Nach Baliye and one of the key ones being the scrapping of the voting system. "Every week, basis the love challenge, the jodi that scores the maximum points gets love power, which makes them safe from saying goodbye to the show. They have the power to choose another jodi to be safe with them. And obviously, keeping in mind that the show is primarily a dance show, the jodi with top points also gets the love power and and safe that week. However, basis the dance performance and the judges points, jodis will either be safe or face Nach ka The End," she said.
Reports claiming that she will be the maha judge of this season was not refuted be her and she has kept the suspense alive around it. "Nach Baliye will be a roller coaster ride for not only the jodis but also for the audience. Every week there will be a new twist awaiting everybody, therefore it is going to be too much," she said.
