HE IS A LIFE CONVICT IN A GRUESOME KIDNAPPING FOR RANSOM CUM MURDER CASE OF AN 11 YEAR OLD BOY.
A REWARD OF RS. 50,000/- WAS DECLARED ON HIS ARREST.
INTRODUCTION: -
Crime Branch has apprehended a parole jumped convict namely Ajay Tripathi who was hiding in disguise with a changed name Akshya Tripathi.
INCIDENT: -
According to joint CP crime Mr. Ravindra Yadav “On 22.02.2000, Sh. Suresh Kumar Gupta r/o B-20, Gali No.4 Bhajanpura, Delhi reported missing of his nephew Neeraj (11 yrs) in PS Bhajanpura. A case vide FIR No.59/2000, PS Bhajanpura was registered in this regard. Later, father of the boy received a ransom call and the kidnapper, who was later identified as Ajay Tripathi, demanded Rs.3 lac for release of the boy. Thereafter, on apprehension of being identified by the kidnapped boy, he murdered him and dumped his body at a lonely place in the area of Bhajanpura. He was, however, arrested and body of the deceased was recovered on his instance. Ajay Tripathi was tried in the case and convicted for life. Later, he managed to secure parole on flimsy ground and was released on parole on 03.11.2010. He was supposed to surrender on 04.12.2010 in jail but he jumped his parole.”
INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION:-
Crime Branch was working on the hardened criminals as well as convicts who have jumped parole in order to curb their criminal activities. During this exercise, information was being developed about the convict Ajay Tripathi. On 12.07.2015, information was received by ASI Vikrant that Ajay Tripathi is living with a changed identity in the name of Akshay Tripathi in Agra and he is coming to Delhi. Accordingly, a team of Central Range led by ACP Ravinder Kumar Tyagi, Consisting of Inspr. Aashish Kumar Dubey, SIs Ved Parkash, Rajeev Kakkar, ASI Vikrant Singh, HCs Ajay Kumar, Jitender Kumar, Sudhir Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Mahabir, Rakesh, Praveen Tomar, Shahir Khan, Rajeev Tyagi and Cts. Sohan and Karnal Yadav was constituted to nab him under the supervision of DCP M.A. Rizvi. Inspr. Akshay Kumar, SHO/Bhajanpura alongwith HC Amrish and Ct. Anil Kumar too reached the spot and he provided details about Ajay Tripathi from the record. At the instance of the informer, the convict Ajay Tripathi was apprehended.
PROFILE: -
Convict Ajay Tripathi (39 yrs) r/o H.No.10/25, Gandhi Nagar, Agra, UP studied up to B.A. 2nd year from Ghazipur (UP) and was running a travel-cum-Railway ticketing agency but it was not doing well. In order to earn quick money, he kidnapped Neeraj and murdered him for which he was convicted for life. He had jumped parole after serving more than 10 years in jail and was running an auto-rickshaw in Agra with the changed identity.
Jail authorities have been informed about the apprehension of convict/parole jumper in this regard.
